Your way to fluent German

Here is a scale to help you understand how to achieve your goals!

UE = teaching unit

1 level (e.g. A1.1) corresponds* to approximately one month of intensive course with 20 hours per week or 3 months of evening classes twice a week.

*The actual time required may vary from person to person


Description of the competence levels

Beginner (Telc A1) - You have basic knowledge and can say where you live, what kind of people you know or what kind of things you have - and can answer questions of this kind.
Basic (Telc A2) - You can form simple sentences and usually understand the meaning of sentences.
Intermediate (Telc B1) - You can describe your interests and preferences. You can understand simple sentences without problems.

Good intermediate level (Telc B2) - When you have completed this course you can understand complex texts. You can converse independently in German.
Advanced level (Telc C1) - You can understand abstract and complex content and make spontaneous statements.
Excellent level (Telc C2) - You can communicate fluently in German in any situation.
